Education is a vital part of Seal Sitters' work with harbor seals and their pups. Our goal is to make the public aware of the need to allow these beautiful marine mammals to rest on our shores. Publications of Scholastic, each magazine has a distribution of 550,000 issues to public schools in the United States. The articles highlight the dedication of young people who volunteer for our organization.
Involvement in Seal Sitters gives students a chance to learn firsthand about marine mammals and the environment. If you are a student or parent, talk to your school about earning extra credit through volunteering and help save the life of a seal pup.
